GoCo Arena starts 2022 with Fujirebio Diagnostics and Wellspect HealthCare as founding partners

A little over two years ago, we launched GoCo Health Innovation City with the vision of building a world-leading innovation health cluster. Since then, GoCo Arena has emerged as a platform for academia, research and the business sector with a focus on collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Fujirebio Diagnostics and Wellspect HealthCare have announced that they are joining Astra Zeneca and the Sahlgrenska Academy as founding partners.

- We had a fantastic first year during which we managed to build a platform that appeals to representatives from different parts of the industry. Over the past year, together with dedicated partners, we have raised several important topics, including the importance of preventive health to generate better public health. Together with our new founding partners, we look forward to further broaden our repertoire and to highlight more key topics within health, says Marie Uddenmyr.

World-leading diagnostic company Fujirebio Diagnostics was recently established at GoCo Health Innovation City with a new state-of-the-art laboratory building. Now hoping to use the new partnership to deepen the collaboration with GoCo and other actors at the arena.

As a founding partner, we want to contribute to making GoCo Arena a creative meeting place where different areas of expertise and fields of research interact to create new successful healthcare innovations, says Christina Hall, CEO, Fujirebio Diagnostics.

Wellspect HealthCare is a global medical technology company with over a thousand employees, operating in 18 countries with distributors all around the world. The company focuses on healthcare and is already investing nearly ten million dollars annually in research to develop solutions supporting bladder and bowel issues. Wellspect HealthCare with its head office located in Mölndal, close by the center of GoCo, is a company that GoCo Arena has long looked forward to partnering with.
