We are excited to announce Women's Empowerment Week, a dedicated initiative aimed at empowering women in business and life science. The activities are open for the life science interested public and anyone is welcome to join, regardless of gender and profession, and whether you like to contribute with sharing knowledge and experiences or simply listen and learn.
The positive shift in women's representation on boards (from 17% to 21%) and as CEOs (from 10% to 14%) between 2013 and 2023 signifies progress. This shows things are getting better. But is it happening fast enough? Some say we should prioritize and make changes quickly, while others say it's not that simple. Did you know that even though women make up half the world's population, only 4% of research funding goes to women's health?
Our commitment is a call to action- participate in the sessions to talk about challenges, inspire change, and establish a space where women's contributions are valued. Scheduled in honor of International Women's Day, our week-long program takes place from the 4th to 8th of March and aims to foster community, empower change, and build a strong network among professionals in the life science industry.
