As the construction of GoCo House soon will enter the final phase, the office building is beginning to be filled with innovative companies and residents. GoCo can now announce that the listed biotech company I-Tech is choosing GoCo House as workplace for its further investments towards a sustainable marine future.
I-Tech is the company behind Selektope, a biocide for use in marine coating system protecting the ship hulls from barnacles. The active substance is the result of several years of research where I-Tech have created a unique mode of action repelling barnacles from surfaces. From the turn of the year, the company will move into GoCo House where they see great opportunities to continue the company's journey and in the long run, also find new solutions to biologically driven industrial problems.
- We believe in the whole idea of bringing different actors and people together within life science to create new collaborations and synergy effects. We have a fantastic organization in place and now we look forward to moving in and scale up, making Selektope the obvious solution for sustainable protection against marine growth in international shipping, says Philip Chabaane, CEO of I-Tech.
The 21,000 square meter signature building, GoCo House, is designed to support collaborations by large public areas and creative meeting environments. For GoCo,
I-Tech's establishment will be a significant addition that will bring both new perspectives and contribute to the mix of industries and line of businesses for which the entire cluster is built, says Jonas Obert, business developer at GoCo Health Innovation City - and continues.
- It feels fantastic to soon be able to start welcoming all our tenants to GoCo House. I-Tech is an incredibly exciting company that with its success story Selektope shows sustainable innovation at its best.
