In February, the signature building GoCo House will be ready for occupancy. A 21,000 square meter multitenant building with collaboration as a cornerstone that manifests the entire GoCo Health Innovation City. Now, GoCo House is pleased to welcome Volvo Cars as a tenant who has chosen to rent a number of flexible seats to enable new avenues for collaboration and innovation flow.
GoCo House is designed by the architectural firm Semrén & Månsson with the aim of creating the best conditions for meeting, collaboration and enabling new innovations and progress. The building offers co-working, large office spaces and several social areas and restaurants.
GoCo House will offer Volvo Cars access to the co-working office hub to seat part of its safety and innovation teams. This will facilitate more cross sector collaborations to further explore innovative technologies for the future.
The interest in collaborating with actors within Life Science is not a coincidence. Through sector convergence, traditional boundaries between branches and industries are blurred and new business partners are found in places previously not even considered.
- We are thrilled to join the GoCo innovation ecosystem. Working more closely with other actors in the health innovation area will unveil great opportunities for collaborations across sectors. We believe that it will contribute to our Safety Vision that no one should be killed or seriously injured in a new Volvo, says Guillaume Cabrere, head of Open Innovation Arena at Volvo Cars. The size of the GoCo Health Innovation City campus also makes it a perfect innovation arena to experiment on new mobility solutions.
The emerging district has a strong focus in health innovation. That Volvo Cars is now becoming part of the ecosystem is welcomed by Jonas Obert, business developer at GoCo Health Innovation City.
- Innovative transport solutions will, to the greatest extent, be involved in shaping tomorrow's communities and cities for the better. In this matter, we believe Volvo Cars is at the absolute forefront and having the company represented at GoCo will contribute to an innovative exchange of information throughout our ecosystem as well as new possible collaborations. We are very pleased to welcome Volvo Cars to the area and GoCo House specifically, concludes Jonas Obert.
