During the first half of 2021, GoCo Arena has been bringing representatives from academia and industry together resulting in a new collaborative platform: Sports, Exercise and Health. September 9th will be an important step in establishing the vision in our shared strategy.

Breakfast-seminar about wearables for better health 07:30-09:00

GoCo offers breakfast and a mindful breathing exercise to start off the day, followed by a panel talk with guest researchers Dan Kuylenstierna, Chalmers, and Daniel Arvidsson, Center for Health and Performance, University of Gothenburg, about research on measuring physical activity on an individual-based level.

Lunch-seminar about industry and research collaboration 12:00-13:00

Take part in a lunch-seminar about collaboration between academia and industry while enjoying a wholesome lunch from the restaurant Poh-Keh. Participants in this dialogue will be Martin Bergman, Secretary General Gothenburg Athletics Fed and CEO of Göteborgsvarvet, Stefan Grau, Center for Health and Performance, University of Gothenburg, Martin Fagerström, Chalmers, and Technogym, a leading company in the field of commercial and home gym equipment.

Fika-seminar about physical activity after Covid-19 15:30-16:30

A "fika" session — an open discussion on how to get back to active life after Covid-19. Andreas Kramer, middle-distance athlete and national record holder, will join in and share his experience from performance sports together with Per Andersson, CEO and founder of GHP Sports Centre and general practitioner specialised in sports medicine.
